The coffin of the Heretic Pharaoh, Akhenaten, who tried to establish monotheism in ancient Egypt, is home again at the Museum of Antiquities in Cairo, Egypt (the Egyptian Museum). Originally found in the valley of the Kings, it disappeared from the Egyptian Museum between 1915 and 1931 during restoration works. It was found again in 1972 when it was donated to the Munich Museum by a collector. It was exhibited for the first time in "the secret of the golden coffin" exhibit in Munich. In 2002 it was finally restored to the Egyptian Museum.
